JRC Book Club

A book club? Yes!

Calling all the book lovers and readers!

Have you ever wanted to join a book club? Do you love book clubs?

This book club, as a part of this coaching space, is a way to bring you together with others through books on similarly needed topics.

Joining a book club can help you dive deeper into a topic and gain greater insight as you read the book, listen to the questions, hear other people answer and discuss the questions and participate in the discussion.

This is a space to share and listen, grow and connect.

Through a book club discussion, you can discover new perspectives, deepen your understanding of the reading, and connect with other group members on a personal level.

The format for this book club is relaxed and low pressure.

We’ll read the book together throughout the month, connecting on social media or through the Bookclubs app {invite link sent after joining}.

Then, at the end of the month, we’ll join together on a zoom call {zoom link sent after joining} for discussion, thoughts, comments, and questions.

It’s just one hour and just $10 to join. {book can be purchased or rented at your local library}

The zoom call will include a welcome, a few thoughts on the book from Jenilee, a check in with group members, Q&A time and the zoom chat box active for member connecting and commenting.

Topics will range from faith, personal development, neurodiversity, relationships, mental health, family, and wherever else the discussion takes us!

Here are some of my recent book lists that we might choose from: books and more books!

As the group grows and evolves, we’ll add new features and choose new books together.

A few club guidelines:

Arrive on time – an hour will go by quickly! There’s no refund if you miss or are late to the call

Read the book – the best way to take advantage of this time is to read the book and it benefits others when you can share knowledgeably with the group!

*you are allowed to join and NOT read the book – you can come just to listen and glean from others

Come prepared – if you read the book, have an idea of a point or two, things that you’d like to remember from the book or things you’ve learned while reading the book

Speak up – we’ll need to keep comments quick but please feel free to share your thoughts and comments from the book, either out loud or in the chat box

Listen – this is where you gain new perspective or hear what others saw as important that maybe you missed while reading the book

Be respectful – this just keeps the discussion healthy and makes sure that our time together beneficial for all
